To “Spring Clean” is the chance to get rid of what is no longer needed, refresh, and create a new starting point.
We usually do this in our homes. But we can do it internally, too.
In many traditions, the external space is seen as a reflection of the internal space. And vice versa.
While this is definitely the case, we can intentionally create a shift, and reset our “base” at one of deep inner peace.
I can share from personal experience that once you’ve experienced this state of calm, you will want to go back to it time and time again.
For me, Sound Healing not only brought this into my life, but the regular practice of it has created a new baseline for me.
I’ve noticed this with my clients, too.
The process tends to go like this…
Initially, one slowly unwinds, relaxes and begins to let the sounds in.
Soon, there’s a shift to what I call, “surrendering to the sounds,” which involves dropping into them and being carried along like a raft on a river.
Each time, one can drop into this state with more ease and speed. The familiarity of regular practice is incredibly powerful.
And soon, this state of deep peace permeates through all aspects of life.
Upsets become smaller. Choices are made. Responses occur, in place of reactions.
And there’s a strong inclination to return to this state of deep inner peace.
But what’s the benefit?
With a deep sense of inner peace, there’s a silence from the mental chatter.
And this allows space for you to connect with your Inner Knowing.
Your Inner Knowing provides you with guidance, and helps you determine your next steps.
Being in touch with your Inner Knowing means that you are fully empowered and tuned in with what is right for you.
I love how Yoda explains it to Luke in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
And it is with this peace, this calmness, this passiveness, that you have the clarity you need.
As they say, the answers are within…
Steps that you can take to spring clean your inner world.
- A simple practice that you can do is to sit quietly. Let go of thoughts and concerns. Wriggle your toes. Take a deep breath in and out. Then hum for a few minutes (at least three minutes). When you stop, humming, sit in the silence and notice the sensations that you experience, the remnant vibrations in your body.
- If you’d like to take this up a notch or two, then you can either download my free Sound Healing track or become a member of my Earth Mother Library.
- And the ultimate way is to come and join The Changing Times Roadmap where you’ll experience Sound Healing every week, as well as coaching and an individualised Sound Healing practice to suit where you are at.
